After weeks of reading all about other bloggers first snow days, we finally got our first snow here in Northern Va. Seriously, it seems like every single state/city around the country has seen snow this winter except in my area.
We woke up this morning to a light sheet of snow covering most of the ground. I didn't care how small the amount, this was Natalie's first time (even since she's been born, I'm pretty sure) that it's snowed where we live!
I bundled her up, grabbed the camera and took her outside.
I guess there's not a whole lot that a 13 month old can do in the snow, but this girl was completely unfazed by it. I expected her to want to touch it, or eat it, or something! She could not have cared less. She barely seemed to notice it, like, "Oh, snow? Yeah, not fascinated by natures beauty whatsoever."
Now that we had our first snow day I am ready for 60 degree weather and sunshine! Who's with me?

She doesn't have snow boots so cowgirl boots kept her feet dry. |

"Really, is this supposed to impress me, Ma?!" |
 |
Is it okay if she creeps me out a little in this picture, with her freaky eyes, porcelain skin and death stare? |

She certainly has that look nailed. Luckily for her, it's beautiful.
No snow in Seattle yet!! It has been cold though. If it is going to be cold it needs to snow otherwise yes bring on the warmer weather!!
She looks super cute in that penguin hat :)
Little beauty! Wish we could enjoy snow!! We have that stuff for like one day every three years or so. Meh.
Couldn't agree more. I long for snow when it's July, but would be fine if we only got one day and then it bounced back to nice weather! :)
She's the opposite of creepy to me! Haha, gorgeous girl :)
Ok, she looks like a big girl here! I'm jealous. No snow in South Jersey :(
I love little kids all bundled in winter clothes looking like over-stuffed marshmallows :) I'm with you, one good snowfall and I'm ready for spring!
I was excited about the snow this morning except I had to drive to work in it which kinda sucked but I did get some cute pictures of Hunter in it before I had to take him to daycare. He didn't seem to like it very much.
Holy cow, she looks so old in that first photo!!! :) I love the look in the next two. She is the cutest little thing. Alidia is so jealous of the snow (Okay, Alidia doesn't know snow exists but I am jealous). Looks beautiful there right now.
I'm with you I want summer or spring We have had quite a few snows and currently getting some now. I am over it lol
I love that she doesn't own snow boots but she DOES own cowboy boots! I keep thinking that B will be so excited about all of these special things I show him but then it occurs to me that everything is new and exciting at this age, although now that we've had several feet of white stuff he's developing a healthy hatred of the snow. Hope you guys get an early spring this year and if you do I'll be coming for a visit.
I wish the snow would go away. We get too much of it here and I'm much more of a summer person.
I love those boots! I dont think she looks creepy at all. She's so pretty.
Bloody hell I thought that might have been one of your nieces in that first photo!! Natalie looks so old! & Her eyes are amazing!
& yep, we've just had snow here and I really want hot weather now (not that we'll get any, but I've never really been a fan of snow, so it's nice to dream about the sun)
Glad you finally got snow! Are you getting it this afternoon too? We are. Kayla's school is dismissing 2 hours early.
I'm ready for the WARM weather!!
Love the photos of her. She is so beautiful! And she is looking a lot older too.
Yep, around three or so! That's great that she gets out early. :) I think it's safe to say people in Virginia freak out easily over a little bit of snow though.
Haha. That's totally true. Once it's snowed I want it to be warm again. :-)
