First Christmas Card
This is the first year I've ever sent out a Christmas card.
Last year at this time Natalie was a couple weeks old and I had no time or energy to put one together, collect addresses and send it out.
The years before that it was just Matt and I, and I don't think anyone wanted a picture of just the two of us wearing matching sweaters and Santa hats.
I really wanted to get a family photo of the three of us together but it is so hard to get a decent one of us all in one frame. Even just one picture of us all looking in the general direction of the camera and not halfway blinking can be a challenge.
I decided to use a picture of just Natalie instead but it was impossible to get her to look at the camera, so when she fell asleep I snuck a cap on her, adjusted the curtains in the room for better lighting and snapped away.
I used a website called cardstore.com to create my card. They had so many cards to chose from, including a line by Taylor Swift, Someecards, Papyrus and of course their own.
I spent forever playing around with different options and made at least ten different cards before deciding on one.
Call me lazy and impersonal, but in my opinion the absolute best part of this website is that they will mail the card to your recipient, completely free! No paying for postage, no handwriting the address, no licking the envelope, no walking to the mailb... you get the idea.
Plus they were running a promo for 70% off your entire purchase when I ordered mine and I ended up only spending like $12 bucks for 20 cards. That's the price of one card if you go to Hallmark!

Gorgeous photo! Taylor has that outfit and gets called a boy when she wears it. Here, you can tell Natalie is 100000% a beautiful little girl. :)
I LOVE THIS! What a great idea to take that photo while she was sleeping. That website looks great, too! I'll definitely have to consider using that next year. We did holiday cards, but through Shutterfly like always (what can I say, I'm a creature of habit haha). I'm going to post our Christmas card for everyone on Christmas Day wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Definitely plan on checking it out!
Happy holidays to you and your beautiful family!

Oh you are SCREWEEEEED when that girl gets to High School!! What a beauty!!!!
This this is so adorable! Love it!
What a beautiful Christmas card! So sweet!
What? That's an amazing deal! Wish I knew about it before I ordered our cards... Ps...adorable card :)
Precious!!! Love it!
Wow great photo and great card deal. I haven't even made an attempt at Christmas photos yet. It's so much work, and Chloe doesn't sleep in positions that are easy to photograph lol. She's a butt in the air sleeper with her face half buried in the bed. We wont be doing cards this year, maybe next.
I love the card- it turned out great!!
Love that picture! I just used tinyprints.com this year for mine and will be posting that on Christmas Day!
Ahh that's angelic...were I to know you and expect one in the mail, sigh. lol...I sent out cards...one of Raegan sitting on Santa's lap and then in the corner there is a small picture of the three of us. We, luckily, just had professional family photos taken a few months ago so it was incredibly out of season but totally the best picture of us three...besides, Santa basically made up for all of that.
That is precious! And what a good idea to just snap a sleeping baby photo. Who doesn't love a sleeping baby? After handwriting and licking all our cards this year, I am bookmarking that site for next year, thanks!
Love this card! What a sweet photo of her sleeping and it sounds like this website has amazing deals!! I will be bookmarking for later use too :-)
Oh my goodness I love your card! Perfect. Merry Christmas, and yes we send out cards every year, it's one of my favorite things to do, the whole creative process.
Aww, that's a sweet photo! I think photos like that are always better than the ones that are staged anyways. I ended up using an old photo of my little girl for this year's card. I wanted a winter-y photo but we didn't get any snow until after Christmas! It worked though! :)
What a beautiful card! That was a very smart idea waiting until she fell asleep.
I have twin girls. Half of the pictures the photographer took are of them grabbing onto each other!
The other half are of my husband looking at them and me laughing.
We did get a few good ones thankfully!
