Our Family is Expanding!

Don't you just hate it when a blogger titles a post something like mine, making you think they're going to announce a pregnancy, only to read on about something less exciting like a new puppy or kitten?

Well, I'm going to be really lame today. We didn't get a puppy or kitten and I'm not pregnant. We got fish. Yes, fish. Two female Betta's named Midnight and Violet.

Is that even blog worthy, you ask? Probably not.

For now they're family though and this is Natalie's first pet. I want to remember it before they end up dying in a month.

Moving on to something else.

I put Natalie in her crib this morning so Matt and I could snuggle for all of three minutes before she started whining because she's bored.

She yelled a little so I went to check on her. She was standing up, holding on to the side of her crib. For parents with older babies this is probably typical. This, however, was a first for her!

Speaking of milestones, Saturday she started waving to people when they wave to her.

She also constantly wants to practice walking. She has me hold on to her hands and she moves her little feet in front of each other. She does pretty well. Who knows, maybe she'll walk before she crawls?

I'm so proud of all the little things she does. She is growing so fast! I'm just glad I can keep track of it all as best I can.

Standing for the first time!

Haha! That's exactly what I thought when I saw the title! I was like "wow, that was fast!" lol

She is standing!!! Evie is waving and clapping, but no pulling up yet.

Aww go Natalie! Chloe doesn't pull herself up to her feet yet.
I so thought you were pregnant. I definitely wasn't expecting fish lol.

Look at miss fancy pants standing in her crib!! Those are big accomplishments, definitely worth documenting.

LOVE little Big stuff, she is just a dream.

Lol... I call Jaxy my sweetN"naughty thing) We always say he's the sweetest naughtiest little boy you'll ever meet! Lol)

You are such a meanie!! I was totally fooled by your title! :)

And that's huge news about Natalie. Taylor doesn't care about wanting to walk at all. She's all about the crawl and pulling up to her knees.

I ain't too proud to pull the "fake out pregnancy title" ;)

Congrats to Natalie for reaching yet another milestone! Life is full of them and it's still fun when my 6yr old is having "firsts".

You totally had me there! I think I even said - OH MY WORD! haha! Fish are exciting! ;) And my girl isn't crawling either... not sure how I feel about it. Sometimes I want her to crawl already and other times I figure it might actually be a good thing. I cannot get over how precious your babe is. Seriously so dang sweet. And don't know if I ever told you how much I like the name Natalie. So perfect for her and I don't feel like it's overly common! Love.

Agh, even worse, I read it as 'expecting' not 'expanding'. Got a little bit over-excited then. But fish are almost as good as a pregnancy (ish)! Especially when they have cool names. (I actually used to want to call any future kid of mine Violet, not a boy obviously.)
Wooo good news about Natalie, who knows, she might be climbing out of it soon enough. (LOL just remembered how I used to play the Sims and I'd normally stick the babies in the cribs because they did my head in, then one time the child had vanished and somehow climbed out. Agh. Thank God it's not real, I have no idea how long it had been out, but it was nowhere near the crib.)

Haha, I was all excited thinking that you were pregnant again. :-) But fish are good too! And how CUTE is that pic of Natalie standing up in her crib!?!?! I remember when mine reached that stage, and how proud they were of themselves (and how proud we were of them too)! :-)

Geez, I was all like, Oh yay, she's..oh wait, they got a kitten...oh, just a fish. haha. :)

That's super exciting she pulled up. Kinsley does nothing but sit. lol.

Every time I read one of your posts it takes me down memory lane with my own kids. Anything and everything they do is a huge, momentous occasion. I know exactly what you're talking about, these small things bring us such great joy.

I have the same shot of babies standing in their crib. She is adorable.
