We have had one hellava weekend with Natalie being sick on Saturday and refusing to eat for hours upon hours. She cried hysterically through the day meanwhile I was at work and could do absolutely nothing.
Come Sunday morning she was back to her usual self. She went for a stroller ride with Mommy, a bike ride with Pap-Pap (Matt's dad), played in her baby pool for the first time, then fell asleep on a nice scenic car ride.
And since Thursday she has pretty much mastered sitting on her own. It is absolutely incredible watching her grow.
Today I took her to the big girl pool at my parent's apartment. She didn't have a huge reaction. She was just so calm and thoughtful. When we first went it literally rained five minutes later so we left. We came back when the weather was clear and stayed for two hours. All the while Natalie did not make one peep or facial expression the whole time. She was just so serious, taking everything in.
I enjoyed myself though and given she didn't cry I assume she liked it too.
She's been sticking out her tongue lately and did that a lot this weekend. I have no clue as to why she's been doing it but it looks really cute. After a nap today my sister stuck her tongue out and Natalie focused for a bit. She then poked her little tongue out right back at my sister. They did this once more and I am convinced Natalie was imitating her. That was definitely a first!
I feel like Natalie is hitting so many little milestones so fast. I am so happy about this but it feels like it's all happening over night.

Oh my lanta! She is so adorable in that first picture! So cute. Never noticed we have the same car seat/stroller combo just different colors. How have you liked it so far? I have yet to jog with it (lol) and shes still not front facing in the stroller yet. When did you move Natalie?
Forget fitness fridays, you look GREAT mommma!! And I love little babies who stick out their tongues. So sassy. :)
The picture of her riding the bike with your dad is awesome! What fun milestones she is hitting. It is pretty fun to watch your child learn something new and see how proud they are.
Aw, Natalie is soooo precious! Sounds like a fun weekend, minus her being sick on Saturday. :-( Love the mommy and baby pictures in the swimming pool - you two are so beautiful!
Some many things to comment on -
1) you changed your banner! it's not as natalie pretty, but I like it!
2) omg - her little tongue!
3) I think we have the exact same stroller. :)
4) You look great in a swim suit, my dear. I have pool pics that I've been contemplating posting, but omg do I look awful.
Always something in common with us! :) I like it a lot. It's easy to maneuver and the tires absorb shock really well, so when we hit bumps she doesn't really feel it. I think we started facing her forward like a month ago, maybe. Definitely before she could sit on her own but the stroller holds her upright pretty well. I also put her in the shopping cart before she could fully sit on her own and she did well in that. She just seems like she hates sitting in her infant carrier so I decided to give it a go and it was a success!
Soooo cute! She is about the same age as Leah was her first summer. The pics of her in the baby pool reminded me of Leah. :) She loves swimming, we just need the freakin weather to get out of the 60s so that we can enjoy some summer activities!!
My God I feel like I haven't read your blog in ages because Natalie looks so much bigger in these photos! Whaaat the hell. Does she have like super long legs for a baby? Her legs look really long!
I don't think I could ever cope having kids and having to watch them grow up, I got upset the other day because I found out the neighbour's little girl is starting school in September (in my mum's class ha!) and I was like, WHAT!? Wasn't she was only born last year!? So mad. She might be 4 but I still think of her as a 1 year old.
Love the pics, and not to be creepy or anything but you have such a nice smile! And I'm loving your sunglasses and Natalie's tongue pose.
Ha! I think her legs are really long for a baby. I was looking at those pictures of her in the baby pool and man do they look long. Doesn't get if from me, that's for sure.
