Six Months
Today my baby is half way to one year! Six months honestly isn't too much different from five months, it just feels like she's so much older.
I've thought for the longest time she might be teething, but now I'm almost certain of it. The reason for that is she has been going through some major crying spells. I'm not trying to boast or anything but she really, truly very rarely cries. When she needs something or is tired, she just yells and squeaks. Sometimes if I put her down and she's in a bad mood she makes the sound like she's crying but no tears are actually shed. On certain days she seems completely miserable. She cries like she's in so much pain. Friday my sister called me because Natalie was inconsolable. I heard her in the background and my eyes filled with tears. I was scared and felt so helpless. I had no idea what was going on with her and there was nothing I could do, not even comfort her. I knew something had to be causing her physical discomfort. My sis said she thought it could very well be teething and my in laws said the same thing.
Not too many milestones are happening other than that. She seems a long ways from crawling but is hopefully close to sitting on her own soon. She likes standing up (not on her own) and putting one foot in front of the other while you hold her hands. She thinks she's big stuff wobbling around like a little tiny drunk.
Sleep is still a bit of a challenge. Most days she only takes two naps which vary on length day to day. As long as she doesn't nap passed six o'clock in the evening she'll usually fall asleep around nine, sometimes ten. The amount she wakes up to eat at night changes all the time too. Lately it's been two or three times, which is a slight improvement. Somehow I'm managing just fine though. I would probably do a little better if I didn't stay up past midnight writing blog post though.
Oh well.
Happy six months Natalie! I love you so much.

Six months already??? Are you serious? Wow! Happy six months! She is too adorable! Ha ha. Writing blog posts this late is the best! Glad all is well with you! Have a great week! Take care!
That photo is gorgeous. I love the light in her eyes! :)
Happy 6 months, Natalie!!!!
And I feel like I could have written the exact same part about teething. Except Taylor is almost 8 months old and is still toothless. She's been unhappy the past few days - - maybe we are getting a tooth??
Beautiful picture of your sweet Natalie! We swore Chloe was teething for months too, but seeing how she still has no teeth, we've finally decided she's going to be toothless forever, ha! Happy 6 months!
Teething is SO hard because you feel so helpless. I hope baby girl is feeling better.
And that picture you took is gorgeous. I love that she's not looking directly at the camera. (Don't you love that you have to take a million pictures to get ONE good picture?!)
Ahhhhh what the hell, why do kids grow up so fast? No way has it been 6 months.
It feels like just 2 months ago or so I was waiting for you to do a post saying you'd had her! This year is going way too quick.
Oh God, I remember when the kids next door were teething, they would scream bloody murder. It was awful, I swear that is when my hearing suddenly started to get worse, and there was a thick brick wall separating us as well. Hope Natalie's teeth come through soon if it is her teething.
And she is such a poser, but that is one seriously cute picture.
Such a cutie girl!! She looks so much like Mommy!
It is so hard to tell when they start teething! Hope she gets through the process quickly!
she is too cute! My little one turns 6 months at the end of June and I can hardly believe it! TIme is FLYING by!!!
Payton is the same way. Rarely cries unless something is really wrong. Teething is one of those times. Some things we have done are Sophie the Giraffe... yep my parents bought her a $20 teething toy. But she loves it. Also, frozen teething things or a cold washcloth. We have used orajel a couple times when it was really bad at night, but we have solved most of the problems with those other methods. Im sure her phase will pass soon. And I know the "cant get a good picture" feeling. Just wait until she is moving... we have no posed pictures anymore lol
Oh also...Payton NEVER showed signs of being close to crawling. She never got up on all fours and rocked. Nothing. Just one day she got up and went for it. And never backwards. Same with walking.
Aww teething sucks so much. I think that's what's been bothering Chloe so much lately. Help her practice sitting up as much as you can and she'll be doing it in no time!
Oh! Happy 6 months Miss Natalie! You are just a little ray of beautiful sunshine, & surely the apple of your mommy's eye!
OMGoodness, Sean. How is it possible she's SIX months old?! I truly believe no one understands the phrase "time flies" like a parent does. How blessed you two beautiful girls are to have each other! Sending big hugs...!
P/S YOU ROCKED the hells out of that pic mama! Seriously thought you had it professionally taken) Hells YAH! (Did I really just say "hells yah?) Geesh) XO
She is adorable! And Natalie has been my favorite name for years now - so pretty!
Good luck with the teething. It can be tough because there really is not all that much you can do but rest assured that you will all get through it. She'll be flashing that toothy grin at you before you know it ;)
That is a gorgeous photo of her! So pretty! :)
That pose she is doing is so frickin adorable!
Good luck with teething it's really not nice, my Josh always gets a bright red sore bottom :(
I love love her headband! Where is it from? !
Thanks! It's from Childrens Place.
Happy 6 months!! We got the teething thing going on here, Kinsley is getting 4 of her bottom teeth in at the same time! (they are all poking through a little bit) And she is not enjoying it.
Beautiful picture. She is just too cute.
