Random Topic Tuesday
I won't commit to doing Random Topic Tuesdays on any sort of schedule, just when I feel like it or have something to talk about. Feel free to join in on your own blog! Hope you guys enjoy.
Today's Topic: Share an embarrassing moment.
I've mentioned this particular embarrassing story on here before, but I was recently reminded of it and thought I'd share it again. A few weeks ago a Robin made her nest on the ledge of my parents apartment window. Laid eggs, birdies hatched and then flew away. It was so neat watching the whole process first hand. As I looked at those beautiful blue eggs sitting in the nest, waiting for life to be born, I flashed back to a memory right after Easter when I was a child.
I loved Easter. Finding plastic eggs and candy and being greedy was all it was about to me. While playing in a neighbors backyard one day, I saw that someone had missed one delicious piece of candy from the holiday. It was planted right on the back of the house near the drain pipe. I swiftly ran over before anyone else spotted it. Just to be extra safe that no one would eat it before I did I shoved it in my mouth and bit down. I thought it was an unwrapped piece of chocolate shaped like an egg. What I got shocked me. It was a real Robins egg. I can only assume it fell out of a nearby nest somewhere, unless some higher power was seriously screwing with me. I immediately spit it out and started crying. The other kids laughed and ridiculed me. I was only like two years old but it mortified me. I ran home still sobbing. I learned a valuable lesson that day though. Don't eat candy from off the ground... it's much safer when given to by strangers.

See the wrath in my eyes? Never come between me and my candy. |

I actually LOL'd, but that is a terrible (and funny) story. I can't imagine chewing on a robin's egg.
You'll have to warn Natalie in the future. ;)
I was constantly embarrassed because I was so shy I just never felt comfortable about anything. I would have to say though walking into a pole when I turned to wave at some friends DRIVING while I walking to high school was not fun at all.
I can't believe you even remember being 2. My earliest memories are from when I was 4. I know I was 4 because I remember asking my mom when I would start school and she said very soon.
Oh no! We actually just had baby robins in our backyard last week and I noticed yesterday they finally flew away. We've had several broken eggs on the deck though. I'm with Shannon, I can't imagine biting down on one though!
I shuddered a little at the thought, but a little funny when it happens to someone else :p
Oh my God this made me laugh so much. What the hell did it taste like? (Bit worried I'm even wondering that) I'll accept food off the freaks in the train station in future now ha! And how cute is that photo! Your curly hair is quite frankly amazing. I looked bald as a kid because my hair was so light.
I can't really remember much from when I was a kid, but I'm sure I'll mention this on my blog in the future, I have never lived it down... I don't know if you have space hoppers in America? If you don't they're like big balls of air you bounce on (sounds dodgy but so fun), one day I thought it would be a wonderful idea to go down the stairs on something similar. I made the first bounce then rolled down like a sausage. I landed by the front door, then someone swung the door open right into my head. That is where my mum said I lost my sanity and common sense. God I was such a freak. So embarrassing every time someone brings it up.
(and definitely yes to meeting up for lunch if I make it over there, I'll let you know in two years haha!)
Well, it was so bad that it made me cry. ;) I am so suprised you said you liked my hair when I was little. In every picture it looks so jacked up. My parents obviously didn't spend a lot of time on my appearance.
Your story is so funny! I used to have a space hopper too, didn't know it was called that though.
Oh my, that would have traumatized me! Your expression in that picture is priceless!
Oh my gosh! LOL! That's pretty funny, but I can definitely see why it freaked you out! :O
Bahahaaa... that's horrible! HOW crazy cute were you? OMGosh so cute!
On our one & only family trip to Disney Land, I had this huge crush on this cute older boy that was staying at the same hotel as us. I was 12 he was probably 15ish? Anywho... we were all in the pool. His family, my entire family. As I was (totally trying to show off in front of the cute boy) going down the huge water slide... my bikini top completely came off... had NO clue... yep... cute boy totally saw my LACK of boobies. OH it was awful!
