Chocolate Banana Nut Popcorn

It's kind of a big deal anytime you find me in the kitchen and something isn't on fire. Fortunately for me the recipe I concocted today doesn't require any skill of any sort. I got the idea from the Dr. Oz show. He featured some healthy recipes and added dried bananas and walnuts to microwave popcorn. That sounded good so I decided I'd try it. Except I added chocolate and used fresh bananas so now this recipe belongs to me. I think it's pretty self explanatory how to make. Just for shits and giggles though I'll insult your intelligence by condescendingly telling you what to do:

1. Open popcorn and microwave

2. Take popcorn out and let cool

3. Chop up bananas and walnuts

4. Place bananas and walnuts on top of popcorn

5. Drizzle chocolate on

6. Enjoy!

If you like sweet and salty then you'll love this little snack. Or you won't. I really can't speak for your taste buds.

Now that you're already reading this, I also want to share with you a new link up that Shannon and I will be doing together. Once or twice a month we will do a "Fitness  Friday." The idea is to help keep ourselves motivated and journal our progress in our journey to get in better shape. I'm hoping others will join in to keep themselves on track and to support each other as well. You can talk about anything you want to: how you're feeling, work out routine, meal plan, any tips you have for other readers, etc and we will also post questions for you to answer. We're going to try and make this exciting (as exciting as talking about fitness and nutrition can be, anyway) and will switch the questions up each time. If you have any suggestions for the link up then feel free to share them with me. Hope to see you Friday!

LOL, so your first instruction I thought you were telling us to literally open the microwave, haha!! I would totally need step by step instructions too b/c the kitchen does not like me being in there. It lets me know by sounding the smoke detectors almost every time I try to cook something. Anyway, I love sweet and salty and that snack looks delish!

When you said you were linking up with a Shannon, I got nervous that you were linking up to me. I just ate half a bag of cheetos tonight. I'm not someone you want to associate with regarding fitness right now. Ha.

I'm a not a big banana fan at all, but if I was I would definitely try this.

I need to get in better shape, but I'm not going to embarrass myself by pretending that I'll get up and do anything about it :p I am oh so lazy.

Oh shit that popcorn looks so good. Like, so good. (I actually thank you for providing the instructions, I probably wouldn't have known what to do, I thought you were going to somehow melt the banana and put it inside the popcorn. I seriously over think things.)
I'm so bad in the kitchen. The most I know how to cook is beans on toast. That is all. That's not even cooking! Matt always used to use this thing against me, because when I first learnt how to make beans on toast, I rang him up and asked him what to do with the beans, like do I just throw the tin in the microwave? He never let me live it down. Every time he did something stupid and I harassed him about it, all I would get in reply was - "Jazz, do you put metal in the microwave?" What a dick, seriously, I was a dumb 14 year old, how was I mean to know? Jeesh.
And ooo looking forward to this fitness friday thing! I'm trying to tone up at the moment and it's so hard. My belly is like one giant saggy pancake, so yesterday I went to do 10 situps, I made it to 2 and a half and couldn't carry on. I'm so unfit.
