Five Months
Oh boy, here we are at five months! Screw it how cliche it sounds but time now feels like it's flying by. Here's what's been happening:
She loves pulling my hair and attacking my face with her mouth. It's hilarious until it hurts. No one ever told me babies were creatures of immense strength. That shit hurts yet I can't seem to stop her, sometimes I even encourage the face attacking.
When she starts to fall asleep during the day, she has to lay on her back while drinking a bottle and holding a cloth in her hands. She rubs the cloth all over her face until she finally passes out. Somehow she finds it comforting. I never said my child wouldn't be weird.
She's not holding her own bottle yet, but sometimes you have to show her the bottle before she'll take it. I'll know she's hungry but she'll push it away with her tongue until I put in front of her face and then she has to grab it and pull it towards her mouth.
Loud noises now disturb her sleeping. When she was younger she once slept through the smoke detector going off (this time not as a result of MY horrible cooking). The vacuum used to not bother her one bit either but now she's terrified of it. I seriously haven't vacuumed in like three weeks. Haven't even tried. Thanks, Natalie, for an excuse to put off house work.
She is back to talking more, though it's not her sweet little baby voice. More of a growl/roar. I never knew I gave birth to a little dinosaur.
We bought her an exersaucer that she seems to enjoy but can't really maneuver in too well.
She's not anywhere near crawling, or rolling over from belly to back, for that matter. Her doctor said to put her on her elbows so she'll eventually learn to roll but every time we try she just puts her arms straight out. I'm sort of a believer that babies do things on their own time and there isn't much need for added pressure.
She really is a sweet, happy baby. Plus, look at that adorable little butt. I seriously love it.

Seriously so adorable. I love that little hat!
Wow 5 months already! Time really is flying lol. We used to prop Torin up on his boppy pillow to get him used to the position of pulling up. He didn't do well on his own either for the first little while.
Who wouldn't love that little tush? And that hat is adorable! I know what you mean about the hair pulling and face scratching. If I didn't know any better, I'd think Chloe was trying to hurt me on purpose! It took Chloe a while to be able to turn around in her exersaucer too, but now she really goes to town jumping and spinning too.
so so so sooooo cute!!!
little dinosaur :)
ps - i ain't been dissin' you, guuurl! let's be pals! :)
What a sweet sweet sweet five month old. Her milestones (and lack of) sound so eerily similar to Taylor's. And you're right, no need to push them. Babies will do things on their own time.
I can't believe how fast she's growing. And how adorable she is.
Seriously too much dang CUTENESS! Can't stand it! UGGG! LOVE that sweet litte face, & those sweet cheekies!
Adorable pics mama! Can you please ask Natalie if I can borrow her hat? Lol) LOVE it.
Cutie pie! She already has her own little quirks...we all have them :)
And I agree, babies have great strength (gripping) when they want something!
Have a great weekend!
Oh my gosh what cute pictures! Thanks for sharing the cuteness!

I know what you mean.. despite the intense pain I love the face attacking lol
She is so much like Chloe! Chloe basically needs her blanket in her face to go to sleep. She growls like crazy, and the vacuum is like the devil. Oh and blenders.
Those are the cutest pictures! I have no baby butt pictures yet. I think I need some before it's not cute anymore haha.
Cute! Evangeline not crawling yet either, but close. Pondering getting an exersauser to keep her busy.
I like the little hat! She is developing a personality, at least that's what it looks like from the pictures :)
She seriously is too cute, Sean. I want to meet her asap! Ha ha. Oh I guess you can be there too. LOL. I am glad all is well and that you are enjoying being a mommy. It's the greatest, isn't it? Time really does go by way too fast! Cherish every moment! Hope you have a great weekend! Love you!
She is such a pretty little baby!
