Family Adventure

Sunday we took a little impromptu family trip about an hour and a half west of us to Front Royal, VA. Matt and I have driven out there on numerous occasions for the beautiful scenery and to visit Skyline Drive. I actually went to boarding school out there and it brings back a sense of nostalgia whenever I visit. This was our first family trip up there though and I'm sure it's just one of many.

The weather started out beautifully. As we continued driving, it took a huge turn. Five miles down the road from where stopped and took the first pictures and we were in a thick cloud of fog. It was really neat at first and I snapped away pictures. Then I realized there was a good possibility we could crash and burn while trying to drive through mountains cloaked in fog. Matt drove really cautiously but I was still terrified.

It cleared up though, we made it out safe and all in all had a fun time almost dying. Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Beautiful photos. We go up there alot too, and last time we went we ran into some fog. It was so bad we rode the brakes too much and made them smoke!!! haha. Fun times.

All those trees are just gorgeous. I've never been to the East Coast but I've heard the scenery is just beautiful. It's been foggy in the morning the past couple of days here, I love it, but I don't have to drive in it.

Natalie is getting so fun huh? Every day it's something new.
