Four Month Check Up
Even though Natalie will be five months next week, today we had her four month check up due to scheduling necessity. She is looking good, though she developed a cold a few days ago. This is frustrating because she just got over all the congestion and snotty nose she had since six weeks old. She is 14 lbs 12 oz's (49th percentile), 25 inches (83rd percentile) and her head circumference is 16 inches around (76th percentile).
She's still in size two diapers, though I think we'll move up to three's once we finish this pack. I asked the doctor about giving her rice cereal but she said the new recommendation is now six months instead of four to six month. She said they literally just decided this a month ago since they found babies don't really absorb nutrients from the cereal before six months.
She also got some more series of vaccinations, which was painful for her and me. I know it's for her own good but it's still hard to go through. She's still napping now though, and I hope she's in a better mood when she wakes up.
On a different note, I've been having some trouble blogging lately. Every time I start a post I don't really know where to go with it. I feel like there are a lot of opinion posts I want to do but I'm always worried someone will get pissed off and send me hate mail. (Maybe not that extreme, but it may offend someone and I don't want that.) I feel like my personality and beliefs get so filtered through here. I wanted this to be a place to vent and be myself.
Obviously if someone doesn't like what I say then they don't have to read it but you never know who comes across your little virtual corner of the Internet. I have no idea who see's this now and what they might think. I have no idea why I care so much, I definitely wasn't like this before being a mother. Crazy how much that precious little face has changed me!

shes sooo gorgeous glad shes getting on well sorry shes ill again and i hope she gets over soon
We just went through the 2-month shots on Friday and I swear Presley still hasn't been the same. She's been a bit more fussy... but we're getting there! And as far as diapers go, Presley's almost 12 #'s and she's still in a one but they're snug. They say they go up to 14 #'s so I've been trying to keep her in them since we still have 1's to use, but I feel like she should be in a 2! Do you have this problem ever?
Oh, and girl, this is your blog. If people have a problem with it, it is what it is. I know what you mean though, I know family and friends read my blog so sometimes I watch what I say as well... but I'm getting better about it. People who love you should accept you -- opinions and all! :) I know if I disagreed with you I'd just post my opinions here since we're all adults! Ya know? Hope you figure it out!
Please do some opinion posts! I'm planning on incorporating more posts like this and perhaps turning off commenting? I find those the most interesting posts.
Aww she is precious! You know what, I say go for it! Your wittyness and opiniois is one of the reasons we love your blog!
It's always so hard on the mommies when we see our babies get their shots. I hope she gets over her cold.
As far as blogging, just say what you want to say. It's your blog and like you said, if people don't like it then they don't have to read it!
Wow we just moved to size 2s today haha. My girlie is so little. Glad to hear Natalie is doing well, except for the cold. Hope it passes quickly.
Awwww... sweet little Natalie & mama too!! Oh girl, I know how frickn HORRIBLE those darn shots can be. I SERIOUSLY cried (pretty much bawled) when Jax got his first ones. (Geesh... what a silly girl, huh?! Lol) It does get a tiny bit easier though, just a bit)
Dude, I WOULD LOVE to hear some of your RAD opinions on stuff & things.... PLeeeease?! The heck w/ silly people who can't handle awesomeness. Hahaaa... I feel the same way though... I never want to say something that would offend... OR am afraid people woun't get my AMAZING personality & humor.
OH That smiley face, I just want to squeeze those cute cheeks! Girlfriend, Uggg... I would LOVE to photograph her, SO wish we lived close!
XO
YAY happy pretty baby!!!
And regarding your blog content, lay it out there for us to read. I have thick skin and I would much rather read the unfiltered Sean!
I say go for it! Your blog is your little world to say whatever you want! You'd be surprised how many moms out there fully support you and even if they don't, it's still fun to read and see others opinions!
I hated the 4 month shots. The nurse told me before giving Kinsley the last shot, "now, she's really going to cry with this one because it REALLY, TRULY does hurt." Oh, thank you for telling me that. I hope her cold goes away quickly. I hate that there's nothing to do for it.
And I've had the same problem with writing blog posts. Lately, I haven't even really had the time to get on here. :( But it's your blog and you have to write what makes you happy (or mad) and makes you feel better. You can't make everyone happy.
I'm the same way when it comes to opinion posts, I just kind of avoid them. I don't know why I'm afraid either, but I don't like confrontation and choose to not have it in blog world. I don't mind reading others opinions, I just don't necessarily want mine out there too. Weird? Yes. Oh well. Bummer that your little princess is sick again but she sure looks beautiful!
Blogging can be tough sometimes. I try to be as honest as I can but you are right, you never know who may come across it. Best I can say is to try and keep it as real as you can and don't post anything you think you may regret later. Ha! Me giving blogging advice! I don't even have many readers but hey, that's my 2 cents :)
PS - your sweet girl is so pretty and looks so much like you!
I know what you mean about sometimes wanting to blog about things but not being sure that you really can, in case someone takes something the wrong way.
That happens to me too. I have SO many half-written posts sitting in Drafts that I want to post, but won't because they might come across wrong. :S
My son I gave rice cereal at around 4 months because he was such a big boy...formula wasn't really filling him up anymore. I didn't introduce cereal to my daughter until she was over 6 months because she just wasn't ready for it. I always use my doctor's advice for things like that as a guideline but I follow my child's cues more closely. Sounds like your little girl is doing great! I hope her cold improves quickly!
I would love to read some opinions posts from you. I write them all the time, and occasionally I do get some "hate" comments but more often than not, we just indulge in some friendly debate and agree to disagree.
