Today’s topic: Do you have any strange phobias? What's your biggest fear?
I will always worry about my loved ones and gasp loudly if someone is standing around a corner and I don’t expect it but I think my biggest personal fear is probably heights. I hate heights. I’m not even talking about skyscraper tall building heights. I mean any level of a building with an opening looking down on the floor below makes me anxious. My stomach has a dropping sensation and my hands get clammy. Even looking at pictures taken from up high doesn't make me feel great. I don’t know where this fear arose from because I certainly wasn’t always this nervous about it. There was no near death experience and nothing traumatic happened to me that would make me think twice about it. I won’t fly on planes, get on roller coasters and even riding escalators in shopping malls makes me grip the rail for dear life. It isn’t a strange phobia in the sense that it’s necessarily abnormal but I think the degree of it is a little more over the top than most people. Admitting it is the first step in overcoming it though, right? Or does that only apply to alcoholics?
What's your biggest fear? Do you think people find it strange?

Haha, my husband is afraid of heights as well....I on the other hand Love heights! I have a HUGE phobia of snakes. Seriously, ugh....my mom and grandma have it too so I think that is where it comes from.
i hate being outside alone in the dark. it terrifies me actually.
& this is the one people call me crazy for but i am afraid to be in the car. like panic attack, hate being in the car. if i could use a bike i would but that's a little crazy with two small children
I am scared of being alone. If Dustin was out of town before we had Leah I would just drink some wine and pass out, ha! But now that we have her I can't do that. :) But I just hate when it's too quiet and I hear all the little sounds.
Large insects. This is because of an extremely traumatizing 7th grade science class experience. And we now live in a place with HUGE bugs. And I'm also terrified of blood.
I'd also have to say being alone is a fear of mine. If my husband goes out of town I will carry one of the boys to my bed so I don't have to sleep alone. I don't even like to go to the store by myself
I am deathly afraid of flying! I need to take a valium even for short trips.
I'm terrified of heights, and like you I had no traumatizing events that I can recall. Flying for some reason though, for me is different. Once you are in the air it's like being in a moving hotel room. You fall asleep and when you are awake you can be in an entirely different world. That's magic! Just like being a Mom, which I know you will be great at! I miss you. I love your blog. WAY to go Sean. Maybe one day we will sky dive together!

Not to sound so brave but there isn't much I am afraid of. I used to be so fearful until I learned that fear is not from God (sorry to get all Christian on ya). But honestly when I am feeling scared I try to have faith that God doesn't want me to put energy into that.
I try and live a good, productive and loving life. What will be will be.
I still worry, but I don't let it consume me like it used to.
I don't think I have any that are strange...but if I'm outside alone in the dark, even if it's just to go to my car and come back I run. And I run as fast as I can because I'm positive there is something out there that's going to get me.
I'm scared of being alone in the dark. Even if I know no one is there, I get extremely anxious that someone is hiding, and have to fall asleep with the light or a TV on. :/ Heights are scary too, so I don't blame you for having anxiety about them!

The ocean scares me like whoa. So many creepy things in that pool of water.
Let's see...so many to list. ;) I HATE airplanes (how do those things stay in the sky, anyway?) I don't like to hear ambulances, I always feel like I have to call and check on my family. And I'm afraid of sharks. ;)
I definitely feel you on the heights fear. I am also afraid of heights, and not just tall buildings. Even climbing a ladder freaks me out. I have never been on an airplane and can live without going on one. I will take the train thanks. If it is overseas I guess I'm effed because boats scare me too!
