Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor today and will continue to go weekly until I deliver. I am 60% effaced which means baby is getting ready to be born but doesn't give any indication as to how soon. I had to sign the most grim consent form I've ever laid eyes on. It stated that I was aware of the dangers of childbirth including hemorrhaging, trauma, rupture, damage to my organs, complications to future pregnancies, a long list of other possible outcomes and death. If I wasn't already looking forward to labor I sure am now! I don't care if it makes me any less of a woman, I am terrified of giving birth.

Hoping for a healthy and quick, labor & delivery for you and baby girl.

Just remember, labor is the easiest pain to forget.

Eeeek I don't remember having to sign that form! Don't worry, you will be fine giving birth!! It all happens so fast and is a blur afterward. Yay for progress. I was 0 dilated and 0 effaced on my due date!

It's totally normal to feel that way! I felt so scared each time. I had perfect, quick births but still with each one I thought "I can't possibly get that lucky again." With my 1st I was the most scared, but at some point I just let it go and said whatever happens, happens. It's out of my hands and I let it get out of my head too. Seriously though just wait till she's out! In seconds you forget everything (well not exactly forget) but none of it matters once they are in your arms. Best of luck to you :)

love those nursery pics! I so need some pink in my world :) and don't let all that technical mumbojumbo scare you, it's really not bad!! If it were, I wouldn't be doing it 4x! really! I can be a big wuss!

Another scary thing to sign is the shaking baby consent you have to sign once in the hospital after the little one is born.

They made us watch the most horrific video ever.

Even with the most bratty colicky baby Taylor can be, I'd never want to shake her. Ever.

Um after reading and signing that I would be terrified too! I'm sure you will do amazing though!

Wow, that form sounds terrifying. :/ I am sure you will be fine though!! Just try not to think about what it says though and take everything as it comes. :)

Yep. That would do it. You will do great though! And when it;s over you'll be holding your baby! But talk to me in 5 months...I am sure I will feel just like you do. But you're almost there!
