Belly Update

I'm 38 weeks along and feeling good.

I don't feel like my pre-pregnancy self but I definitely don't have much if anything to complain about.

Pregnancy has been so good to me. Physically and emotionally both. My co-workers even tell me how upbeat and happy I've seemed ever since becoming pregnant. (If you think I'm pessimistic now, you didn't know me before.)

I appreciate everyone's advice on the whole natural induction methods and will try my best just being patient. People keep telling me how my belly looks like it's "dropped" and like she is ready to come out. I have been enjoying myself and the time spent daydreaming about life with baby.

I know my fantasies are not going to be what's real but it's nice to pretend. I know there will be late nights and early mornings with a cranky baby but all I can think about is the positives. I just hope for a healthy, happy baby and fast recovery.

It's SO close!!! I only hope I look HALF as good as you do in your pregnancy! Seriously - adorbs! :)

Life will be different. I'm always curious to know if that saying, "I don't know what we did before baby" is really true...does life change THAT much that you can't remember what you did before? I don't want to lose some of my drunk ass memories..lol

You look so good! It's so hard to believe you could go any day now. I'm glad you've had such a good pregnancy. I was the same. I actually really enjoyed being pregnant most of the time.

You really do look SOOOO good! I can't believe you're 38 weeks already.

You look like a model! I did not look like that, I looked tired and swollen. Anyway, guess what? Some of it will be like your fantasies. I felt like it was Christmas morning waking up to my baby. EVERYDAY. It never got old.

That said I also knew in the back of my mind that the worst of the sleep deprivation would only last 4 months as that was the magical time I would let my baby cry it out and not wake up in the middle of the night to feed her.

I needed to know that eventually I would sleep as I don't deal with lack of sleep well at all.

I highly recommend this but you will find what works best for you and your family.

Girl you look great!! To be honest, there are a number of things that I miss about being pregnant-- but what I love about NOT being pregnant anymore is being able to tie my shoes, my bed feels comfortable again, food tastes normal again, and I can walk normally! :) You're gonna do great with the delivery and yes, the first two weeks will be really tough (watch out for those hormones), but you'll look back and find it very memorable. I know I have, and I'm only 4 weeks in! :)

You look so beautiful!

Bet you are so excited now, although I am wondering if you have maybe had your little baby already? I notice you did not post a random topic tuesday! Unless you are too tired or have been caught up with something.

Wishing you lots of luck with the birth if it hasn't happened yet.

You look AMAZING! And I hope that your dreams about life with baby come true...the early days/weeks can be challenging but they are also precious and amazing. Late nights and crying baby and all. :-)
