Pregnancy Q+A's

Your name?
Sean or the more feminine version, Sean Marie.

Fathers name?
My father or my childs father?

Are you still with him?
My father and I never had that kind of relationship.

Were you trying to get pregnant?
Yes

When did you find out?
March 23rd

Where did you find out?
Parents bathroom

How far along were you?
3 or 4 weeks

What was your reaction?
Shocked. I had no idea sex could get you pregnant.

Who was the first person you told?
My sister, Brittany

How did you tell the father?
I told him I took a test and it was positive

What was his reaction?
He was happy, like any man trying to knock up his woman would be.

When is your due date?
November 30th, 2011!

Did you have any morning sickness?
I got a little nauseous but never threw up once

What are your fears?
Where do I begin?

What are you most happy about?
Being a family and raising a little girl with the man I love

Did you want a boy or girl?
I went back and forth between the two.

What did the father want boy or girl?
Like most fathers to be he wanted a boy

Do you know what your having?
A girl

Do you have a name picked out?
Yep :)

How much weight have you gained?
At my last doctors appointment it was about 22 lbs.

Have you felt the baby move?
Of course. She is a little ninja.

Do you plan on a natural or medicated birth?
Medicated! In case you didn't know, I will be pushing a human out of me.

Are you scared about labor?
Yes. See answer above.

What do you think will be the worst part of labor?
The unknown. There are so many things that could go wrong and I am pretty terrified. I know the pain is going to be bad too. I'll let you know all about it afterwards.

Who will be in the delivery room?
Doctors, nurses, my husband and probably sister.

Are you having the birth videotaped?
Ew. No. I'm hoping to forget most of the gory details, not relive it.

Do you think you will cry when you see the baby for the first time?
I cry just thinking about holding her. Of course I will cry. It's going to be the absolute most amazing moment of my life.

What do you think the fathers reaction to the baby will be?
He'll probably look at her, sniff her to make sure she's his then feel indifferent. He's going to be stoked, of course! This is exciting and wonderful for him too.

How do you think family and friends will feel?
Everyone is so thrilled and looking forward to it. Probably not as much as us, but everyone shows love and support.

Hey there, I found your blog through Ali's Loving life's journey blog. I'm 9 months pregnant, and have a blog of my own and I really enjoy reading other expectant mom's feelings on the topic. I really like this interview you posted. I think I may do the same before the baby is born. I'm a follower now, and I wish you the best in the rest of your pregnancy!

love this! and you might surprise yourself when she's actually born - I'm a crier, and pregnancy made it worse, but once I pushed him out, I was speechless and amazed... but I didn't really cry (just a few little tears). It wasn't until a little bit later when we had a little family time that it really hit me.

Time flies, enjoy every minute of your pregnancy (as much as you can when you aren't peeing, being hungry, emotional, trying not to fall in the deep freeze hunting for ice cream)!
