Baby Fashion

Whenever I shop at Target I intentionally try to avoid the baby aisle because I know I will go ape-sh*t crazy buying all the cute, tiny items I can get my hands on. Yesterday I was with my sister in Target and she had to grab some diapers. The diapers so happened to be right passed  the newborn girl clothes.  Most the clothes they have for infants now is for summer so it's not all that hard to turn down since she isn't due until November 30th and clearly has no need for shorts and tank tops in the winter. My eye caught the one item that's for fall and I found it too precious to turn down. One of my sisters has two daughters, ages 5 and 2 so there are plenty hand me downs in the apparel department. I think this will be her "coming home" outfit. It's nothing too fancy but the little jacket and onesy just melted my heart. Plus she will only be coming from the hospital to our home which is about a 15 minute drive but I like the idea of her having a special outfit anyway. Plus, I am sure to take tons of photo's of her in this little number.

LOVE the coat... our coming home outfit for my son lasted a whole 10 minutes after we actually got home - in those first 10 minutes, he managed to pee through the diaper, all over himself.. then proceeded to pee all over the changing pad, mommy AND daddy. within 15 minutes we had an entire load of laundry to do :)

Adorable. I've been soooo bad lately too. I went into Carter's and they have the CUTEST fall and winter clothes. I'm warning you....you may spend a pretty penny if you head into a Carter's store. :)

oh i LOVE the outfit!! I JUST bought a similar one for Payton but it has a purple and white zebra pattern in the coat and the onesie says wild about mommy. Target is the worst! I can't walk out of there without buying something (btw- go to clearance and get stuff that will be about the size she will wear in summer... it is really cheap and really cute, we got a lot of Payton's wardrobe on clearance). We ended up having Payton in her coming home outfit a long time because we were ready to leave the hospital at around 12 and her nurse never made it to our room to discharge her until 5... then she kept it on at home too (and it wasn't even the outfit I originally intended on LOL)

Precious outfit! It is SO much fun shopping for Leah. I agree with Shannon, Carter's is amazing but you will be sucked in! :) Make sure to sign up for their coupons!

You can talk to me all you want about love and kids because I love to hear it. I think when 2 people are genuinely in love they are happy for others and can appreciate all the lovey dovey stuff. So excited for your first baby girl. There is nothing like it. It is pure magic. I really like the layout of your blog, so serene. I am jealous of all your beautiful pregnancy photos. I was too sick to think to take any photos and I think I may have only 3 or 4, between all my kids! Sad. But I am trying to make up for lost time now.

I got sucked in at Target the other day as well! I saw that same outfit and loved it! I did buy one little outfit that will probably be my baby girl's coming home outfit as well. Target's baby clothes are just too cute!
