Today is Tuesday

And there is no clever caption I have for this.

This weekend we booked our DJ, videographer and most excitedly honeymoon! Since we already act like an 80 year old couple, a cruise seemed fitting for us. I am really looking forward to taking a nice week long trip and seeing some new sights while relaxing. We booked our DJ and videographer through a site call thepros.com which offers really great prices. The downfall to using them is that they do not offer the option of actually meeting your vendor before your wedding. You simply select a package, tell them a little about your taste, they give you a few options and you pick the person that sounds the best. I know it's a bit risky but unless someone has an insanely obnoxious personality that is intolerable I think it should be okay so long as the professional knows what they're doing and does a good job. It's not like meeting with them in person before deciding would make them any better at what they do. If they're good, they're good regardless. If not, then it sucks to be us. There are still a lot of things we need to knock off our list and I am so nervous about everything. Even if our wedding day is a cluster fuck like we both have a feeling it will be, I am still going to be married to the sweetest man I know!

I'm sure it will all turn out great! Where are you going on the cruise?

I love how you say you already act like an 80 year old couple! Sounds like my husband and me! I'm also wondering where this cruise adventure will take you...

Cruises are for everyone! You'll love it! Ok, it's not going to help that I'm a grandma and just said that. Enjoy it anyway :)!

How exciting!! A cruise sounds like fun and romantic. My friend did that for her honeymoon and they loved it :)

I can not agree more! Since we planned our wedding out of town over email and we did SO much of it sight unseen-it all worked out just fine.

We never met our band (we heard a CD), we never met our cinematographers (we did 'meet' with the husband and wife team owners over skype but they weren't who were with us day of), we never tasted the food, and only saw the venue once- the day we booked it. The venue gave us a Day of Coordinator but we didn't meet her until two days before. Your philosophy is right on track... it's one day (albeit an awesome one) that at the end of your married! That's the best part of all! And a cruise!? I love cruises...worry free is the best honeymoon approach in my book.
