Baby Steps

Aside from yesterday being Natalie's first Halloween, it was the first day she walked completely unassisted!

Lately Natalie has been taking a few steps on her own here and there, but never as many as she did last night.

We were hanging out in our costumes at home with my sisters, nieces and nephew, waiting for my friend and her son to arrive.

My niece was holding a basketball and Natalie was holding onto a chair, just standing around. That's when she decided she was ready to let go of the chair and walk.

I tried capturing those very first steps on video, but just missed it. Luckily we got her to do it again, this time my sister held the ball and backed it away so she would move closer and closer.

She hasn't done it since, but we're taking baby steps to get there. I don't wanna rush her growing up or anything.

I am one proud mama.

Wow - you should be! That's impressive. Go Natalie.

I've been thinking long and hard (heh heh) about writing a blog post about Taylor and walking. She used to stand on her own all the time and even took a few little steps here and there, but recently has backslid a lot and won't even stand on her own anymore. I'm going insane. I know I shouldn't and she'll walk when she's ready, but I can't help it. It's a mom thing.

Anyway - sorry to derail about MY issues. I'm super excited to see Natalie onto the next adventure!!

Yay Natalie! Awwww that was awesome! Pretty soon you're going to be chasing her around the house :) That was so cute. Thanks for posting that. You guys must be so proud, I bet Matt is showing Nick right now at work.

Aww go Natalie! Chloe took her first series of steps last night too. Maybe costumes inspire them to walk? I'm jealous that you got a video though. I didn't get a chance.

Ahhhh well done Natalie! That's super fast how quick she learnt!
Also I was so confused when I saw the thumbnail of the video (I hadn't seen your previous post), I was like "what the heck is that?!" She looks soooo adorable.

GO NATALIE!!! :) I love the song and the way you put this together. I *may* just have to steal the idea of using that song with Kinsley starts walking, which won't be for a long time. haha.

I love how everyone clapped and said yay at the end. So sweet.

Aw, thanks! I'm glad you like it. :) Feel free to use the song too.

Kinsley is going to look SO cute walking around, and it will happen soon enough!
