Goldy Locks

You know you're bored when visiting your job on a day off seems like a good idea.

I'm fortunate to live really close to where I work, so I walked down there yesterday with baby. I was planning on just popping in to say hi  but I ended up staying longer than I thought. My boss asked me if Natalie has ever had a haircut and she hasn't. She barely has any hair to cut. She has fine, blondish hair that's way thicker than when she was born though. A few strands of hair were way longer than the others, so I told him he could cut those.

Not sure if this really counts as a first cut or not. I guess it technically is. I of course made a big deal about it all and had another co-worker snap some pictures. It took all of thirty seconds to do but Natalie didn't enjoy it much and cried a little bit at the end.

After that I stopped by a little cafe on the way home and grabbed a sandwich. We headed to the park  and had a picnic together. Whenever we're sitting outside she loves pulling on grass and finding leaves or sticks to put in her mouth.

I love days with her and have been soaking up every minute of it.

Curious

Not sure what I was doing with my hand in this one. Looks like I'm going, nah-uh, girlfriend.

Trying on Natalie's headband.

She clearly was sad to see her long locks go.

Bottle in the park

I love self timers. Too bad Natalie didn't want to look at the camera.

Notice the tiny twig in her mouth.

Just hangin' out.

That after picture is priceless! So cute. I think it just means you like your job which is a good thing.

She has beautiful eyes!! I am debating on when to get Chloe's hair cut also. I obviously want it to grow and not look like a boy's cut, but the hair over her ears is at an awkward length - it's too long to lay flat, but it's not long enough to tuck behind her ears. I have no idea when to take her in for the first time. The park sure looks peaceful with you two.

And I couldn't reply back to your comment via email, but my husband does own a restaurant AND works at the railroad. His job at the railroad has been very minimal the last few years, only working once every 6 weeks or so, so that's allowed him to run the restaurant. But he has been called back to the railroad for training which leads us to believe he will be going back to work there full time so I don't know what the future of the restaurant is right now. :(

Love her little hair 'cut'. Matthew's hair is growing so fast I feel like shaving it off!

She has the best facial expressions. Did you save the "curls" he cut??

Natalie is adorable, and the photo of your boss wearing his headband is hilarious! LOL!!

Natalie is looking so much more like you! Had to laugh at the after photo, the hairdo is cute though. & That's the face I want to pull whenever I go to the hairdressers. They always take way too much off my already short hair.
& is Natalie planning on becoming a cowgirl? Toothpicks might be tastier if she gets mint flavoured ones.
Love the self timer pic. I did have a minor heart attack though, wondering where her leg had gone. Thought something serious had happened whilst I'd been away!

I am not sure if it's the lighting or what but it looks like she has one blue eye and one brown, so cool, but regardless she could definitely get by on her looks :)

I have to say I am always curious why parents don't cut those lone long patches off, it always looks weird. As soon as my kids got that inevitable bald spot at the back of their head we would cut what was underneath so there wasn't a pattern of hair/bald spot/hair.
